Webex offers the possibility to hold online meetings. Webex is available in different versions:
- Webex Meetings for meetings
- Webex Training for webinars
- Webex Events for events with many participants
Within Webex, a distinction is made between hosts and attendees. Hosts can create meetings and invite participants to these meetings. Attendees can join meetings by clicking the link in the invitation that they receive.

To become a moderator (currently only possible for employees), please send an e-mail to the Service Desk with the subject "Registrierung Webex".
When using Webex, please make sure that you have the appropriate technical equipment, A USB headset, for example, improves audio transmission. If this is not available, you can use the microphone of the laptop.
For video transmission, the built-in camera of the laptop is sufficient.

Data Backup / Hosting
The service is hosted by cisco in data centres in Germany.
Please request to be registered as a host by sending an e-mail to the Service Desk with the subject "Registrierung Webex". This is only possible for employees.
The current user regulations for IT and media services must be observed.
Reutlingen University's current licence for Webex is valid until the end of May 2021.
